Brittany Murphy's hubby 'emptied her bank accounts before his own death'

American actress Brittany Murphy's bank accounts were emptied by her husband Simon Monjack before he died, sources have revealed.

Murphy's former business manager has claimed that 39-year-old British screenwriter Monjack had drained his wife's financial accounts by 80 per cent, leaving Murphy's sole beneficiary, her mother Sharon Murphy in an uncertain financial future.

"There were huge amounts of money in Murphy's pension plan and bank account, and all of that's gone," News.com.au quoted Murphy's former business manager Jeffrey Morgenroth as saying.

"I would see it on the statements. There was money being withdrawn by Simon, hundreds of thousands," he added.

But Sharon Murphy has refused any wrongdoing by Monjack.

"I'm trying to get her to understand that the bank account has this amount. She needs guidance on how to deal with things," Morgenroth said.

While Murphy died on December 20, 2009 due to pneumonia, iron deficiency and multiple drug intoxication, Monjack died of the same causes on May 23, 2010 in the same Hollywood home. (ANI)

Brittany Murphy's hubby 'emptied her bank accounts before his own death'

When Brittany Murphy died, most likely her husband inherited her money. He had a right to spend her money any way he wanted, unless he blew any money she left to her mother.
